meet the girl behind the chair
Hey babe! I'm Tara.
My favorite thing about doing hair is purely the people that land in my chair. I'm a people person through and through, I'm all about making true connections while establishing a trusting relationship and empowering women to look and feel their best selves inside and out!! I truly believe this is the most fulfilling job in the world.
Being a busy Momma myself, I completely understand how sacred our free time is and how we should find time to prioritize ourselves too. That's exactly why I've focused my entire experience on delivering results that work with your lifestyle and budget through modern lived in hair color.
I'm all about solving problems, and since I can't come home with you to do your hair everyday, I aim to teach you how to best maintain, and re-create the salon hair you will receive the day of your appointment, for yourself on the daily that consists of my tips and tricks, a solid maintenance plan, and of course custom product recommendations to help maintain your new investment in between appointments. Sounds like a deal?
Alot of people know me as the bubbly, boy Mom, always dancing, crazy chicken lady. The girl with the big crazy complicated family, and some pretty awesome friends I love laughing with and would go to bat for any day.
When I'm not painting hair behind the chair I'm usually loving on my son Annon Beau, cozied up in my robe on patio, sharing a drink with my husband (of almost 10 years), cruising an antique shop for a good find, or somewhere with some live music-I also love to plan parties and decorating all the things! (I mean, ALL the things)
I'm a big fan of all things hair, self care, and the way it can make us feel and change our perspective of ourselves, even for just a minute. Mindset is everything girlfriend!
After getting into the industry in 2015 I have put my focus on educating myself on all things blonde. Specifically balayage and lived in blonding I worked independently in Fort worth for 5 years building an amazing clientele full of awesome clients that I love spending time with and truly inspire me on the daily. With their support over the years I've been able to step out on my own as a buisiness owner and partner with 2 of the most talented ladies I know to create the EXACT experience and space that I think we as women need and deserve from the moment you step in our doors.
In February of 2022 we opened the doors of Sustainable Soul Salon + Refillery. in Downtown Weatherford, TX. We're a one stop shop for a kickass hair color at a sustainably ran salon while also filling up your shampoo & conditioner, household cleaners, beauty products (all non toxic) of course, while also finding all kinds of other sustainble options and eco friendly items. Sustainable Soul also partners with Green circle salons to recycle all of the hair trimmings, foils, and over mixed color. How cool is that? The beauty industry alone has more waste than you can imagine and we are just trying to do our part in protecting our planet. Can you get down with that?
